Short definitions of the terms that come up constantly in CPWD estimation, each with enough context to be useful rather than circular.
DSR stands for Delhi Schedule of Rates: CPWD's published schedule of item rates for construction work, used across central government projects with a cost index applied per station.
DAR stands for Delhi Analysis of Rates: the CPWD publication showing how each DSR rate was built up from materials, labour, machinery and carriage, with coefficients per unit of work.
BOQ stands for Bill of Quantities: the itemised list of work, with measured quantities and rates, that a construction project is tendered, contracted and paid against.
